About the Founder

Jonathan Dedman Dietz is the Managing Partner of Mayborn Capital, a private investment firm he founded following a self-funded search. Through Mayborn Capital, he acquired GIS Field Services, a national mortgage field inspection company. Jonathan operated the business through a period of significant expansion, growing its inspector base more than tenfold and broadening operations nationwide. He ultimately executed a successful exit that delivered attractive returns to investors while preserving continuity for employees and clients. Today, Jonathan continues to invest through Mayborn Capital, including a number of direct investments into other self-funded searchers, supporting the next generation of owner-operators.

Jonathan’s career began at London Broadcasting Company, a portfolio company of SunTx Capital Partners, where he initially served in business development and station management roles. He later joined SunTx Capital directly, working on acquisitions, diligence, and portfolio initiatives, before returning to London Broadcasting as its Chief Financial Officer. The company ultimately achieved a sale exceeding $225 million, and Jonathan’s time there provided him with valuable experience in financial leadership, operational oversight, and scaling a private equity–backed enterprise.
